Curtis Brown

Curtis Brown —

Experience
Curtis was born and raised in Montana. He grew up fishing the small streams around his hometown of Helena. He also spent time on the Madison and the Missouri. He’s traveled throughout the West on fly fishing trips. He’s also fished in Chile, Argentina and Costa Rica. Curtis first guided here in 1995 for the West Fork Cabin Camp. He joined the gang at Blue Ribbon in 2007. After so many years guiding in the Yellowstone country, the Madison is still one of his favorite places to take clients. When our season wraps up, he can be found guiding on the Green River in Utah. He has also spent winters guiding in Chile and Argentina. On days Curtis isn’t guiding, he’ll often stop in the shop, soaked by rain after fishing streamers in the early morning hours. One of his other fishing favorites is chasing gulpers on Hebgen Lake. In the offseason, Curtis ties flies and experiments with new patterns. He can also be found swinging for steelhead or playing golf.
