The Firehole in August
It's not every year that the Firehole is a viable fishing option come August, but 2011 is one of them. There is water aplenty in the river and the temperatures aren't yet excessive. Fish it early and late in the day with caddis, damselflies, and terrrestrials. This photo was taken a few days ago below Midway Geyser Basin.

John, Thanks for the photo—great year for the Firehole fish I’d say. I fished this section a few times the second week in June—of course the water was up in the grass then!!

The river and its environs were cloaked in a white shawl. Ankle-deep snow buried the trail, making it hard to find in the dusky light before dawn. thanks for sharing the informative post.

You have a very inspiring way of exploring and sharing your thoughts. It is very uncommon nowadays, lots of sites and blogs having copy pasted or rewritten info. But here, no doubt, info is original and very well structured. Keep it up. !!
